Perception Park is a young Paris based design studio that works in the manner of an artistic research and exchange platform. It federates artists and designers, working in different mediums, who have been selected for the quality of their approach and for the confluence of their artistic expression. In addition to reveling in new forms of expression, Perception Park edits objects which find their meaning within the boundaries that lie between art and design. The studio proposes its first collection of objects combining an artistic approach, formal research and craft techniques. Behind Perception Park is Parisian born artist and designer, Celia Nkala. Studying arts and aesthetics at the Sorbonne in Paris and object design at Ecole Supérieure d'Art et de Design in Reims, she graduated with a diploma in textile design from l'Institut Supérieur d'Arts Appliqués de Paris. She joined Christian Lacroix in 2005 where she spent four years creating drawings for the embroidery and ornementation of collections. During this period, she began a personal research around the medium of photography. In 2010, her strong desire for openness, exchanges and free creation, led her to create Perception Park: Concept Studio within which she cultivates an original approach to form and material, surrounded by chosen artists whose language responds to hers as much as it inspiring and completing it
