Artist and designer, Marie Rouillier worked several years in fashion and home decoration before launching her own brand, "LeBestiaire". Based on the wonderful and poetic Nature world, her collection is all unique and hand-crafted.
Le savana is a decorative cushion from the series "volatile". A wing of wood-color leather feathers is hand-embroidered on a masculine houndstooth wool fabric. This cushion has an inside bias for a clean finish and a perfect look. Removable feather insert.

About the designer

Marie Rouillier

Artist and designer, Marie Rouillier lives and works in the district of Montmartre in Paris. Trained as a stylist at the Duperré school of Arts in Paris, she worked several years in the fashion world as an assistant designer, photo stylist, before becoming interior designer for a Parisian decorator. In 2011, she launched her own brand, "LeBestiaire", where she reinvents the infinite world of fauna and flora through a very unique and personal approach. She takes her inspiration from a very wide source, from the Middle Ages’ bestiaries, Albertus Seba’s "cabinet of natural curiosities", the amazing botanical prints by Pierre Joseph Redoute, Klimt, photographer Karl Blossfeldt, to decorative arts and nature of course ... Exploring her favourite themes through women fashion collections, the designer surprises and delights with her daring and poetic pieces, all sewn, painted and embroidered by hand. For Marie, LeBestiaire is a concept with no boundaries, to be transposed into various territories, from fashion to art performance and art decoration... and if we had nine lives!
